Accessibility statement

Last reviewed: 6 August 2026

Our commitment

FootyGrounds is built for every supporter, including disabled fans and fans using assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not an afterthought.

What we do

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and lists so screen readers can navigate pages predictably.
  • Every interactive control is reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for ground photos, logos and icon-only buttons.
  • Colour is never the only way we convey status — labels and text accompany colour cues.
  • Layouts reflow down to 320px wide and respect browser text-size and zoom settings.
  • Motion and view transitions are reduced automatically when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Forms use associated labels, clear error text and inline guidance.

Accessibility information about grounds

Ground pages include supporter-contributed accessibility detail such as step-free access, accessible seating and toilets, parking for Blue Badge holders and travel notes. This information is contributed by fans and gathered from public sources, so it can go out of date or be incomplete. Always confirm with the club's disability liaison officer before travelling.

You can browse the ground directory to find accessibility notes for a specific stadium.

Known limitations

  • Some ground photos supplied by third parties and contributors have limited alternative text beyond the ground and club name.
  • Embedded third-party content, such as maps, street imagery and video, follows the accessibility of the provider and may not be fully keyboard accessible.
  • Machine translation is available for many European languages; translated text may be less precise than the English original.
  • Accessibility, parking and pub data is not yet complete for every ground.

Report a problem

If something on FootyGrounds is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Email chris@mcgarrigle.com. We aim to respond within five working days and to fix confirmed barriers as a priority.
