What this covers

This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage (local storage) that FootyGrounds (footygrounds.com) uses, what each one is for and how long it lasts. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

The categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — needed for the site to work, mainly keeping you signed in and protecting form submissions. These cannot be switched off from within the site.
  • Functional — remember choices you make, such as your language preference.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4, used to understand how the site is used in aggregate.
  • Advertising — we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Third parties

Google Analytics is provided by Google. Some pages also embed third-party content — maps (OpenStreetMap tiles), Google Street View panoramas and video players — which may set their own cookies when you load or interact with them. Those providers publish their own cookie notices.

How to control cookies

You can change which categories you allow at any time: .

  • Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage from its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will sign you out and stop parts of the site working.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Most browsers also honour a “do not track” or tracking-protection setting, which will block our analytics script.
